I’m a blogger and communicator with a pastor’s heart. I hail from the greatest city you’ve never heard of, West Des Moines, IA. I live there with my wife and son. We have a good life.

I am on staff at Lutheran Church of Hope where I work with smart and passionate 20-somethings in a ministry called Immersion.

I’m also the Head Dude and Senior Editor at BeDeviant.com, a division of the Deviant Media Group. At BeDeviant, we’re interested in blending culture and faith in a relevant way. Some of our articles have appeared in The Chicago Sun-Times, The Des Moines Register, and Reuters.com.

Finally, I love to help churches, individuals, businesses and organizations learn how to build technology and new media into their structural strategy. I also enjoy a nice run, a good cup of coffee and cracking the spine of a fresh book.
