We thought we were so cool.
Last week found me in Nashville for the first-ever Platform Conference, an event by Michael Hyatt. (I wrote a recap of the event here. It was life-changing in the every sense of the term.) I was producing the live-media for the event, but gleaned enough wisdom from the speakers to fill up my pocket Moleskine three times over.
It was, as the kids say, legit.
The whole event was targeted towards building a platform for your message. I walked away inspired, to say the least. So I’m finally doing it. I bought one of these last week and I’m jumping in with both feet: I’m starting a podcast.
Some of you may not know this, but I was part of my high school’s radio station for almost all four years (that’s a picture from the studio up above). Here’s a bit from one of the morning shows I co-hosted. Just to warn you, it’s strange:
I got bit by the radio bug and never fully healed. You can imagine the allure of a podcast, but the timing never felt right. That’s about to change.
I knew if I ever started a show, I wanted it to be centered on the audience. (That’s you, by the way.) You can only listen to one person yap for so long before it gets a little….boring.
Podcasts are infamous for being self-indulgent, but I want to do something with traction. Something focused on you, not me.
Long story short, the show is called #THINKDIGITAL and will focus on accomplishing goals using social, web, and email. Theory meets action.
Here’s where you come in.
I’d love your social, web, or email marketing questions—any and all of them. I’ll have something special lined up for callers who make it to air on the first show. You can click the button below (if you’re on a mobile device you won’t see it) or call directly: 515-999-0569.
Don’t worry, no one will actually answer the phone. (Having to actually talk to a human has kept me from calling in to many a talk show.) You’ll go straight to the inbox. Just give me your name, your website, and your social, web, or email marketing question and I’ll take it from there.
If all goes according to plan, you should have the first episode by the end of March. Hooray!
