Top-of-Mind Tuesdays

Top-of-Mind Mondays

  • My friends at STORY shared this assessment the other day. You should take it. Here are my results. Will you share yours in the comments?
  • Why you can’t “get saved.”
  • Never got into the gaming thing myself, but it’s absolutely crushing the ambitions of young men. Read this.
  • Here’s a recap of Michael Hyatt’s Platform conference. One of the classiest events I’ve been to.
  • Bad title, amazing article (even two years later): Best Social Media Strategist Doesn’t Look at Social Media as Social Media.
  • Help me out. Click this link and tweet out the message. Add commentary if you’d like. I’m trying an experiment and it will only work if you help. If enough people help, I’ll update you on the results next week! (Otherwise, you will never hear of this ever again.)
  • Trying Facebook comments out. Not the most elegant solution, but I ain’t no dummy. Facebook’s the big man on campus (for now). I want to sit at his table.
  • After testing nearly 50,000 email sends, do you know what my most popular subject line was? “Hey!” Yeah. “Hey!” It won by a landslide.
  • Another interesting email tidbit: Committing to A/B testing on every email has drastically lowered my unsubscribe rates.
  • Listen to this mix. It will melt your face. Like this (don’t click if you’re squeamish).
  • BELOW: I don’t know how much longer this meme is going to be around, so I have to capitalize. My son doing the Harlem Shake (click his cute face to watch):
Finny Harlem Shake

Thomas can get down.

I hate to point out your failures as a father, but that is totally James, not Thomas.

37% Caregiver 25% Spiritual 18% Fashionista I was talking to Eric about this, because I was shocked that I had that much caregiver in me. He thinks it's probably just the stage I'm at in life (with a child under 1, who I'm with all the time). I guess that makes sense. I wish I could see what my #4 was, because I wanted to answer 4 things for a few of questions. I think it would be Intellectual (which is one of my strengths according to StrengthsFinder 2.0.
